United Nations Barbie 🇺🇳

I don't see anything wrong with what Amber said. Btw, it makes me cringe when Mariah is included in black stuff.

Gilgamesh.

She's literally calling herself an untalented white and the girls are still complaining. Like shut up sometimes.

RAY7

Ok now this was not bad. The DaniLeigh thing must have ppl on edge but this is completely different.

you guys are great for just seeing the post for what it is and not blowing it out of proportion
you are all able to think clearly and reasonably. that's good.

but i don't think we should simplify it too much.

we can't ignore that some people may associate mixedness and light skinned-ness with privilege

and the truth is that they aren't just imagining something that isn't there.

people experience real pain, real discrimination and face real life consequences all because they are dark skinned and/or unambiguously Black. especially women.

i think there should be a certain level of compassion as to why this stuff triggers them. and where that comes from. there is real pain in our community.
it won't trigger EVERYONE, but i want to hug those who are triggered. because many times, there may be something deeper there.

I'd never tell a Black person that they shouldn't be offended if that's how they really feel. I just don't undertsand the outrage when the girls already picked her wig/scalp apart for this YEARS ago and the joke was made to poke fun of herself NOT to revel in her lightskin priveledge.

i honestly see why some people don't get it.

there's nothing wrong with what ur saying , like at all.

it's just not so much about Amber IMO. it's just the whole "look at us! we're both mixed and light skinned lolz !" that can trigger people.

especially women. there are so many messages out there telling dark skinned, unambiguously Black women that they aren't beautiful.

I just see why stuff like this can trigger some .
but i also see why others are like "ummm whats the issue?"

sfsffsfssfsf

i honestly see both sides.
