If you cant be vulnerable then you cant be honest. And from that point youre disingenuous and disconnected.

But this was interesting. Elaborate just a little. What if it's not that they can't be vulnerable, but that it's just not their personality. Or they have a different idea of vulnerability? They could be the most honest person in the world

Well what I was speaking of is the person who has a guard or wall up, preventing them from being open/honest with their emotions. Not the person who needs time to cool off before they spill. I feel like a heart to heart with you isnt genuine if youre only saying the things that keep you comfortable behind your wall. I cant really bond and connect with you intrinsically if youre physically present but spiritually holding back. You're navigating the relationship protecting your feelings from being hurt or hiding insecurities instead of letting someone ACTUALLY get to know you.
