Usher mimicked Michael to the extent that Brandy mimicked Whitney
niggas need to stop

:uhh:
:kii:
Brandy was done "mimicking" whitney houston after her 1st album. Usher still doesnt have a style or sound of his own
!!!
That's why I gave side-eye to his comment.

Brandy isn't a Whitney clone.

Usher been tryna give MJ era after era.
Michael Jackson was never about sex, and Urban or crunk like Usher
if Bran isnt a clone Usher isnt either
he's influenced by Michael's dancing like Bran is influenced by Whitney's vocals

he started with an artistic risk
singing about sex at 13 yrs old

that's not an artistic risk, that's exploitative and gross  :uhh:

and I'm screaming at you bragging about this when you were just dragging Aaliyah's parents for allowing the R Kelly mess to go down

do better, Ray

I wouldn't call Justin Timberlake an icon either. He & Usher are kinda in the same vein.

Justin just hasn't fallen off yet.
Yea, i don't necessarily see JT as an icon but im sure he'll be revered as such. From his HUGE career with Nsync to his massive  solo success............still to this day, the whites are gonna treasure him i believe. How long did that terrible song sit at the top of itunes? No one else from his time could do that

that IS an artistic risk
he couldve easily went the safe Disney or tame virginal route but he did what most kids werent musically
and Aaliyah ACTUALLY fucking a grown man has no correlation
but you tried though

FlowerBomb

I dunno
MTV for example gave the Vanguard award to Bey, JT, Brit, Kanye and Rihanna, but Usher debuted years before all of them and is the only one with a Diamond selling album.

and BET gave the Musical Excellence award to him and none of them
but I guess the white award is better?
