im just gonna put this out there
octavias performances in the help as well as hf wasn't ocsar worthy (golden globe and soul train maybe)
dunno why they tried to pump ha up but its always used as a divisive ploy
on one hand we know the win is bogus
on the other we are excited somebody black won
meanwhile the star that really captivated audiences (viola in the help and taraji in hf ) get snubbed
but sis has been an unknown in films for years giving the same grandmotherly vibes in all her roles
and while her character was good in the help it definitely wasn't a breakout role for her
she acts like that all the time thats what shes casted for
same with jhud getting her oscar and giving terrible acting performance right after
but that was a big fuck you to beyonce thinking shes gonna treat the oscars like the grammys and rack up
but she didnt deserve it either
but were happy the film walked away with an oscar period
and of course bey haters loved it lol
but again divicive
