How does anyone with a brain compare a child dressing beyond her age to an ADULT being gay?

:rudone:
How does anyone with a brain not see that the parallel is its ALL aesthetic and based on personal opinion.   :plzstop:

You're comparing a child's actions to that of an adult. That kind of invalidates your opinion but your opinion outside of anything music related is usually dumb as hell so lol!
Who's a child? Isn't he 18 and in college?

Right, so parents opinion don't really mean shit.

When you grown and out of the house what business do they have worrying about yours?

Your sister probably aint whining and crying about your mom accepting the way she dresses and this boy isn't doing the same in regards to beating his face.

The problem is he is still financially dependent on his mom so no matter how old he is he still ain't "grown" so to speak.  Yall about to have this boy dropping out of school and homeless over some dang makeup :dead:

but nah for real. It wasn't THAT bad.
As long as she didnt start calling him all kinds of disgusting faggots.

He'll live and she'll ease into it. or if she doesn't. Just cut her off. easy

What's funny is that she probably feels dumb now.

IDK why parents seem to think that just because they're parents it entitles them to be disrespectful to their kids, especially when they're grown. Tbh I would've read my mom for filth but she got better sense than this. She has that "as long as you grown and outta my house you can do whatever" mentality. All she cares about it my happiness and that's the most important thing when it comes to mental health (which black people don't take seriously at all) and they wonder why black youth is so fcked up..

Parents really need to learn how to communicate with their kids positively. Black fathers don't know how to show affection to their sons and black mothers want to be in competition with their daughters because of how their mother raised them.

Just awful

Young

The crazy part is he really looks amazing

He's not trying to be anything but himself.

If a woman had that eyeshadow it would be a normal day; or perhaps even exceptional

But because he's a man he can't wear makeup.
And if he does then he must go all the way and become a woman for it to be accepted?

Like I don't get tbh

I want to know the context here...

People say alot of things they don't mean in the heat of the moment.
I hope he posted that after he was very sure that his mother was truly "done" with him.  :dead:
this as well!
:dead:

Why post this without having a conversation with your mother after she has calmed?
Seems very opportunitist imo
Almost as if he himself needs confirmation that this is ok  :dead:
Often times ppl have a hard time accepting themselves .. because if he had truly embraced who he was then I think he should've been understanding that it would come with a bit of 'versy from his parents and those alike

what kinda backwards ass logic is this?  :dead:

anyone who truly accepts who they are wouldn't tolerated being disrespected by anyone because of their outdated beliefs.
Not understanding how it's backwards
Anytime someone steps out and truly be themselves it comes with backlash

How is that not expected?
Did he think his mother would be throwing confetti and sending make-up care packages to him?

V
She didn't know he was into the whole make up thing
Hell .. neither did he (according to the article) ...
So again.. I don't think he's fully embraced himself and he has reservations
He posted this to seek validation/approval..IMO
Never said he should tolerate disrespect but anyone with logic would understand every progressive decision comes with aftermath

And yet you're trying to make up every excuse in the book for this mother.

I've noticed you have this same stance on any topic that involves flamboyant gay men and this kind of thinking is very problematic, especially since you yourself identify as gay.

I'm not making an excuse for her
I'm being understanding from all ends..
We all secretly want/desire acceptance..
Not understanding how anyone could feel a way or be surprised by someone that doesn't understand them or their self expression because it's to be expected

I am gay.. yet I still understand how some people may not be with it or as embracing of it as I am now.. because it took me time.
Some people need TIME.. some will never get it but that's not ur cross to bear but it shouldn't surprise u.. or inspire u to make it open season on ur mothers wig because she's shocked that u wear make up NOW

No the crazier part is it really doesn't

It doesn't matter what others think or feel in all actuality .
When we get to the mean and potatoes it's just a boy who beat his face.
Whoopti doo!
The fact that it's even an issue still boggles my mind.
But I'm baffled as well that you think someone else's opinion of how he looks should detere him from doing the things he wants to do. Or that it's valid enough to justify the lashings he's getting

It's a kii tbh

i highly doubt it .. unless he's reached to her like an adult and told her how he feels
Judging by the article they haven't spoke

But he's had time to post this on all of his social media accounts and paint his mother as a black homophobic bitch!

Priorities smh
