i kinda still am because I Know single moms, who honestly used it for assistance and then got off once they got stable

Maybe instead of canceling they should implement more guidelines or a more strict policy against abuse.

I've seen so many instances where government reliance has been normalized in households, and even take advantage of.

People using food stamps to buy Chinese food, etc. Selling them to other people, etc.

If he's replacing the stamps with a CONSISTENT supply of fresh, healthy food....this is kinda cute.

If anything there should be a limit of funding a household gets for the amount of kids.

So if you have 1 child, you get assistant.  But if you on your 4th and 5th, knowing damn well you can't take care of them... the other 4 is on you.

I don't know.  I'm just pissed that the ones who get up and do what they have to do don't get assistance at all.  Especially if you're a single household.
