I agree that most forms of government assistance need a good overhaul. SNAP and public housing/low income housing especially.

My old roommate would get $200 in food stamps WHENEVER he was between jobs. He'd tell them he was homeless and didn't work and BAM, $200 for 6 months. Then when I lost my old job and I went to try my luck, they said I didn't qualify because I was a student. Ummm, HUH?

It's so easy to cheat them. In THAT aspect, the system needs to be changed.

I would even go as far as saying the types of foods need to be regulated as well. No GMO, farm raised, processed mess. Only natural/organic foods. Once they've eliminated the percentage of Americans getting the benefits fraudulently, they'll be more than able to give the girls in need a few more coins to eat healthier.
