Sorry  but I don't understand what Adele has to do with black artists.

1. The bitch is not R&B.
2. She's slaying the other white bitches to, so like :dead:

Some of ya'll are acting like her success is the norm. As if other whites just shit out 3M albums in a week.  :ohwow:

Adele slayed everyone and you're just gonna have 2 get over it!

Exactly!

Some people seem mad in here lol

GYNandTONIC

I dont understand the fumes, but Adele is R&B/Soul.

Not modern by any means but she has more of a Stevie/Ella/Etta/Marvin ballad style. Its more reflective of old school soul/jazz.

RekeRig

Ya'll don't think SOME of her success is because of the fact that she's white? SOME? get real

You do know BLUES is the other half of R&B right?  :omgwatshappening:

Soul is derived from Blues....

Gospel/Negro Spiritual...Rock/Blues/Jazz.....Rythmn&Blues/Soul/Funk...
HipHop. We developed kind of in that order.

Also Etta and Ella are Blues singers

AIDS!

Some people class her as folks, bluegrass, country and rock
Kinda like Mumfords & Sons

Shes nothing like Mumford. No banjo, no homemade instruments, no spoon and knee mess.

She's soul/blues/pop. Anyone who know music history especially in the context of Black music knows her sound. Its on her wiki page! Lol

B not enough for blacks to get angry because she's slaying and r&b artists aren't. Her fan base is very diverse.

Also Adele just isn't R&B to me.she might have a soulful voice but I don't see her music as R&B

Jaz isn't being given an opportunity to make her label money though. You can't possibly be that fucking stupid.

I wouldn't have put it so bluntly but yeh :dead:

There is no reason why "Someone Like You" (great record) was such a big hit but "In Love With Another Man" wasn't officially released.

I haven't listened to 25 but based on Hello I wouldn't class her as R&B either. 21 had Soul running all through it though.

And we both know thats bullshit :dead:

Soon as she breaks more records white media will classify her as one of the best selling r & b/soul artists. And alot of people in here are just COMFORTABLE with her taking it over. Smh. Brainwashed foolz :supluv:

RAY7

I disagree about her being labeled R&B by white media
she'll always be labeled "Pop" by them
