I never really understood it.

And I've never encountered a person who was only whooped once and then got their act together. IDK why people use it as an excuse to make people behave. People start behaving as they age and mature regardless gggg.

The most I got was a thump on the head and my toys taken away. Oh yeah, and no eating out mess. Now THAT was brutal.

I'm not reading this thread but, spankings definitely work...up to a certain age. If you're still "spanking" at 12, you've failed.

I'm talking about these little kids in the stores throwing tantrums. They need their mommas to take them in the bathroom and give them something to cry about. That threat always shut me up.

At a certain age, though, children respond to "No TV" or "No video games".  You shouldn't have to spank anymore.
