Uber eats and doordash and all that mess are super costly. The people in big cities that may not drive get charged so much just to have the food delivered. It's pretty crazy with the tip included but i don't think i'd just flat out not tip them, although i do prefer the idea of tipping after the job has been done.  IF you're able, i say just go pick the shit up ur self.

!!!!

That's why I don't even accept any "I don't got it" excuses

This is a luxury . And If u truly don't have it u shouldn't be spending ur last money on food delivery .

Struggling is not ordering out for food every night or week ... struggling is tryna make packs of ramen noodles and frozen hot dogs last thru the week.

i mean they can't see the tip before hand, i dont know why yall still believing that lol

but basically

any delivery person skipping orders is an idiot taking money out their own pocket.

you. get. paid. per. delivery.

we have a DoorDash driver in the thread who confirmed they can tell when customers tip and when they don't before taking an order.

R u gonna argue with him too love

They can def tell if ur not tipping beforehand . so the better question is why do u choose not to believe that?

sfsffssfsfsfsfssfsfsf if it bothers u, just start adding a tip when u order.

i did the mess as well babe

i already said if the restaurant puts the delivery reciept on the bag, which they not suppsed to, thats the only thing that shows a tip. otherwise youre just trying to calculate based on what they ordered and the total. and that aint even always accurate cuz the restaurants be hiking up prices in the app all the time.

so yea, i know what im sayin vcvcccvcccv

and like i said, mad people tip AFTER the food is delivered. so EITHER way you slice it, any delivery driver doing this is digging in their own pockets

and i tip 95% of the time tootz 💋

klappa.

come to think of it, i ALWAYS only add the tip after (or cash) and i don't have delays lolz

also, they're not "idiots" for refusing certain orders

actually the opposite.

they're being STRATEGIC and SMART by waiting for the bigger orders which will produce a bigger coin for their pocket

rolling the dice just a bit and it's actually working for many of them.
driving 10 miles to deliver a $5 order of food to someone who didn't even add a tip isn't very smart.

the size/amount of the order has no bearing on how much they make from the delivety hun. its a flat rate.

like i said.

Ur calling them idiots but ...

they clearly know how to actually work numbers a bit more than u do

it's a bit more complex than "paid per delivery!"

There's cost of gas, time spent , etc . that factor into this

Refusing a no tip $5 food order  for 10 miles so they can grab the next one with a $50 food order and $10 tip for 3 miles is very smart .

They would possibly miss the bigger tip if they spend so much time delivering that non tip 10 mile order. Do I have to break this down even further? I'm not even a dasher and I get it .

They're playing a numbers game.

This "paid per delivery! Stupid to turn some down !" Mess ur saying would only make sense if every trip paid the exact same amount.

The cherry picking game they're playing would def work especially in any busy metro area where orders are not far and in between each other .

every trip DOES pay the exact same amount, i just said this

:omf: :omf: :omf:

again, they get a BASE pay per delivery, doesn't matter if the order is 5 dollars or 50. and a bigger order does NOT mean a bigger or tip, or tip at all. trust me. again, i did this.

so while these girls are picking and choosing which orders to take and crying on social media for tips, the gorls like me were taking every order in my VACINITY. THAT'S the strategy. cuz tip or not, my base stacked up and my checks were CUTE. never had to take to tiktok fuming about tips.

so yea, i'm def not the one who needs help figuring out the numbers lolz
