Quote from: GRAND on July 25, 2016, 10:28:15 PMI understand what Real is sayingIf you and someone are truly friends, they'd understand time flies and we just all get busyI could go weeks w/o talking to my bestie and as soon as we speak again, everything just picks up where it was left offThere are no Ill feelings. I know the dyke is busy with her mans and her job.
Quote from: Drais. on July 25, 2016, 10:34:28 PMWhat do y'all consider a bestie cause ffffIDK it's like the word aint matching up with some of these descriptions and scenarios in here. The only time I've gone months without speaking to someone is if we had some type of fallout. Yeah people get "busy" but honestly if you really wanna make time for someone you can. If I'm really close to you and you're in my circle like that we're gonna be constantly communicating whether I deem you my bestie or not.IDK maybe I take the term too literal. Y'all besties just sound like homeboys and homegirls y'all chill with every now and then.

The things I used to share with her, I share with someone else now. And it's the same for her. Eventually you just have less things to talk about. Still my girl though.

These are the best friendships to me. I honestly don't have the time or energy to talk to people every single day. And as a grown man, I'm just not gonna sit on the phone and talk frequently. So I appreciate a low maintenance friend like that. My two closest friends are alot different than I am. I actually disliked them both before we became friends But because we're so different we've been able to expose each other to different shit and learn from each other.

Quote from: Don Draper on July 25, 2016, 10:12:01 PMIt's really easy when you both have alot going on. I don't necessarily go months without checking in. But a few weeks can happen easily

Easily. that ain't even that long I can't have the friends that use constant contact as way to gauge how much you still care for them. That's too fucking much

We don't have to have our mouths LATCHED to each other's ballsacks 24/7 but I'm not gonna let weeks/months go by before I reach out to my "best friend"

Of course the dynamic of your relationship will change as you get older and life changes but isn't the main thing about having a bestie is being able to talk about stuff you can't with no on else? I don't really think I have a "bestie" but I have a certain friend that I share all my tea whether I'm in a relationship or not.

I'm very loyal and caring and I'm not just gonna leave anybody hanging for a long period of time.I've seen friendships crumble because people go through a crisis and their "bestie" is MIA thinking everything is fine. Nah, that's not me.
