I think black people find a colorism a bigger deal than it really is (compared to everyone else) because of how much its an issue in our own community

Colorism is definitely a part of music now.

Dancehall artists. The only 1s that really crossed over and sold millions were Shaggy and Sean Paul and they are 2 of the least talented out there. LEAST talented. But they have international appeal because they're mixed.
