If someone feels they are depressed then that's what it is and I'm not following up with a barrage of questions. are u clinically diagnosed? Can i see the papers stating so? Etc
If that's how u feel then that's how u fckn feel. Ur clearly feeling some type of way in ur life, so speak on it. People are entitled to voice what they feel. Let these people feel how they feel. If they ask questions about getting it properly treated or sumn then that's when advice can be solicited.
Yeah again, there's a difference between someone saying I have depression xyz VS. I am feeling depressed. Same with anxiety. Feeling worried (anxiety) or sad (depression) happens for everyone.
And if someone wants to know the difference and how to treat it, then they'll be diligent about trying to figure it out. Until then, I'm depressed. That's kinda that. If u feel it's for attention then don't give them the attention you feel theyre looking for. People are still entitled to voice whatever they feel their affliction is. One minute it's we sweep the mess under a rug and don't talk about it. Now it's a trend to say it and they just more than likely seeking attention. Pick a side
Niggah,
You see what I mean. Depression is fuckin crippling some ppl don't even get the chance to get help. Ppl wouldn't even know how in some communities. Yet you feel like somehow they'll be diligent about getting help when everything we mentioned about stigma, resources, and the impacts of depression...mkay.
Also not sure who the fuck was talking about ppl being entitled to a voice, Jayd' made the thread but I doubt he's on social media telling everyone they're lying. This is what I mean by yall adding extra shit jut to argue.

I agree with your point, I did want yall to talk more about mental shit. Even though you niggas want to act oblivious about the impact of attention on social media which is the entire fuckin point of the thread so let me draw a parallel....
Remember at 1 point in time social justice issues, racism, colorism, all that shit was seldom talked about until recently? Ppl had shit opinions about race until it became a universal topic in discourse. Now If you didn't know how to talk about race or injustice you are "socially unaware" to some or not "woke". Niggas go to great lengths to try to appear to be right? To keep that social inclusion with the collective.
Yall talk all day about niggas tryna fit in and now that the convo has shifted to healing and wellness yall cant see the same
